As summer draws to a close, we’re taking a look back at a busy August across Space South Central. From new international funding opportunities and exciting upcoming events to a spectacular solar eclipse, there’s plenty to catch up on.

The UK Space Agency has announced Call 3 of the International Bilateral Fund, inviting proposals for projects that will strengthen the UK space sector’s international partnerships and create new opportunities for collaboration.

We’re also looking ahead to the return of a special Orbit South Central on 23 September at IDEALondon. It’s set to be a great opportunity to connect with the region’s space community, so make sure you secure your tickets using the link below.

Earlier this month, the UK witnessed a spectacular partial solar eclipse, with up to 90% of the Sun covered in some areas. Our team was out across the Space South Central region to experience this rare celestial event and capture the excitement.

There’s also plenty of funding news to explore. Our monthly Funding Flash highlights the latest opportunities available across the region, including the Connectivity in Low Earth Orbit (C-LEO) programme and funding focused on advancing atmospheric and aerial autonomy.
