(Updates from B2Space) This summer, we celebrated 10 years of B2Space.
A decade ago, we set out to change how we access space by addressing the high costs, long wait times, and environmental footprint of traditional ground launches.
10 years, countless flights, and many engineering iterations later, we have turned that idea into reliable Near Space Testing and High Altitude Pseudo Satellite (HAPS) services, while continuing to develop and test our Rockoon launch concept.

OR3D CT is on track to become the first company in Wales, and the only independent industrial CT services provider in the UK, to work to the EN4179 aerospace standard.
Based at Brynkinalt Business Centre in Chirk, OR3D CT provides industrial computed tomography services across aerospace, automotive, defence, medical and advanced manufacturing. Four members of the team are now working through the qualification programme, delivered by the International School of Aerospace NDT and approved by the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing - 80 hours of formal training and 800 hours of logged, scrutinised experience per person.
Once complete, the accreditation will allow OR3D CT to inspect parts and assemblies destined for aircraft, with a particular focus on the additive-manufactured and composite components increasingly moving into flight-critical applications - parts that can be difficult to inspect using traditional NDT methods but are ideally suited to industrial CT.
The project is backed by an Accreditation grant awarded through the Flintshire and Wrexham Investment Zone's SME Manufacturing Grant scheme, administered by Wrexham County Borough Council. Cllr Nigel Williams, Wrexham CBC's Lead Member for Economy, Business and Tourism, visited the Chirk facility to mark the announcement, and the story was covered by Aerospace Manufacturing magazine.
